A man who was barricaded inside an area home has been taken into custody by the New York State Police. The Dutchess County standoff began around 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10, in the area of Osborne Hill Road in the Town of Wappinger.  State police announced around 12:47 p.m., that the situation had been resolved "peacefully." Man Taken Into Custody After Being Barricaded In Lake Carmel A man who barricaded himself inside a home in Lake Carmel was taken into custody late Friday night. The incident began Friday afternoon around 3:40 p.m. in the Vernon Drive area when a family member called police reporting the situation. The Putnam Sheriff's Department and Kent Police responded with assistance from Westchester County Police.
