Update: ID Released For Danbury 40-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Car This story has been updated. The identity has been released of a man who was struck and killed by a passing car in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Danbury around 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 20 in the area of Lake Avenue Extension and Mill Ridge Road. According to Erin Henry, spokeswoman for the Danbury Police, officers found 40-year-old Garrett Rich of Danbury, lying in the westbound lane of Lake Avenue Extension in front of the Ethan Allen Hotel with significant injuries. Nearly 100 Puppies Rescued After Blaze Breaks Out At Pet Shop Firefighters along with the help of Good Samaritans were able to save almost 100 puppies when a fire broke in a warehouse attached to a local pet store in Danbury. The fire was reported around 8:56 p.m. Thursday, Jan., 3, a fire was reported on Lake Avenue Extension in the area of the "Puppy Love" building, said the Danbury Fire Department on Facebook.
