Lorenzo's Bistro, located in Sullivan County in Jeffersonville, reopened its doors on Monday, April 1, at 5002 Route 52 in the old Sal's Pizzeria building. Tornado: Detailed Info Released On Strong Twister With 115 MPH Winds That Touched Down In Area Detailed information has now been released about a tornado that touched down in New York during a round of isolated, severe thunderstorms over the weekend. The twister tore through an area in the Catskills, in northwestern Sullivan County, at around nightfall Saturday. The tornado, with peak winds of 115 miles per hour, ranked as an EF2 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale or EF Scale, the National Weather Service said. Popular TV Actor Accused Of Stealing Cooking Oil At Restaurant In Hudson Valley A former star soap opera actor from such popular shows as "One Life To Live," and "All My Children," has been charged in connection to an alleged cooking oil theft in the Hudson Valley. Forbes March, age 49, was arrested along with another man on Thursday, March 2 following a complaint from Michael's Diner in Ulster County for the theft of used cooking oil. Ulster Police Chief Kyle Berardi said members of the department responded to the diner, at 1071 Ulster Ave. in the town of Ulster for a report that two men were siphoning used cooking oil from a container in the rear of the restaurant. …

Drunk Driver Narrowly Misses House In Region, Police Say An alleged drunk driver narrowly missed landing inside an area home during a crash in which the window of an area pizza restaurant was cracked. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5 in Jeffersonville. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s patrol responded to a report of a crash in the area of Route 52 and Route 164 in Jeffersonville, said Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, of the Sheriff's Office. As of around 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, NYSEG was still reporting 67 customers without power in Dutchess County, 343 in Sullivan County, and 15 in Ulster County. Missing Hudson Valley Woman Found Dead A 74-year-old upper Hudson Valley woman who went missing has been found dead, state police said. Marlene Pesekow, who had dementia and was classified as a vulnerable adult, went missing on foot in Sullivan County from the Jeffersonville Adult home, located at 4806 Route 52 in Jeffersonville, at approximately 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, according to state police.  She was located deceased late Tuesday evening. State police said there appears to be no foul play in her death. The investigation is ongoing.
