A 34-year-old area man is facing felony DWI charges after his involvement in a crash near the Taconic Parkway, police say. Putnam County Sheriff’s Department officers say they responded to a Putnam 911 dispatch that reported a one-car property damage accident on Peekskill Hollow Road in the area of the Taconic State Parkway on Saturday, June 8 around 7:45 a.m. Further investigation revealed that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to meander from the roadway and strike a tree head-on, police say. Area Man Faces Felony DWI Charge After Crash
A 37-year-old man faces a felony DWI charge following a crash in which he was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road without a court-ordered ignition interlock device in Northern Westchester, police said. Carlos Venegas of Brewster was arrested after Pound Ridge Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday on Autumn Ridge Road in Pound Ridge, said Chief David Ryan. Woman Sentenced For DWI Crash That Killed 21-Year-Old Fishkill Resident
The family of a 21-year-old Manhattanville College student scolded the drunk driver who struck and killed their son in court at her sentencing on Wednesday. Rye resident Emma Fox, 26, was sentenced for her role as the driver in a fatal crash that took the life of Fishkill resident Robby Schartner, who graduated from Brookfield High School and formerly lived in Putnam County, in Garrison.
