Wanted Out-Of-State Man Apprehended In Area An out-of-state man wanted for assaulting a woman was nabbed by police in the Hudson Valley. The man was apprehended in Ulster County while officers were conducting a warrant investigation on Tuesday, Aug. 23. While conducting the investigation, officers located AJ Brown, age unknown, of Gloucester, Massachusetts, living in the hamlet of Glasco, in the town of Saugerties, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said. Brown was wanted out of Maryland on a warrant from Baltimore County for felony assault of a woman on I-95 in December 2021, Sinagra said. He was taken into custody by officers…

Man Arrested After Pulling Knife On Victim During Domestic Dispute In Area, Police Say A 36-year-old area man was arrested for menacing after allegedly threatening a victim with a knife during a domestic dispute. Ulster County resident Adam Stade, of Glasco, was arrested on Monday, Feb. 24, after Town of Saugerties Police responded to a home on Delaware Street in Glasco for a reported domestic incident, said Saugerties Chief of Police Joseph Sinagra. According to Sinagra, during the domestic dispute, Stade pulled a knife on the victim and threatened the victim with physical harm.  Stade was processed at Saugerties Police Headquarters and then arraigned in…

Sex Offender Faces Felony Charge After Failure To Report Move In Area A registered sex offender is facing new charges after failing to report an address change in the area. On Tuesday, Nov. 26, detectives from the Saugerties Police Department arrested 29-year-old Christopher Smith after he failed to register a change of address after moving from the City of Kingston to Glasco in Ulster County last month. The New York State Sex Offender Registry had Smith living on Brewster Street in Kingston, when he was living on Delaware Street in the Town of Saugerties.
