Arlington Schools Superintendent Leaving To Take Over Westchester District
A veteran educator has been tapped to take over at the helm of the Lakeland Central School District. The Lakeland School Board of Education announced this week that Arlington Central School District Superintendent Brendan Lyons has been named to the same position in the district, effective as of Wednesday, July 1. Lyons takes over for the retiring Superintendent George Stone, who has been in the role for a decade. Voicemails To Lakeland Schools Superintendent Lead To Harassment Charge
A Northern Westchester man who admitted to leaving more than two dozen harassing voicemails to Lakeland Schools Superintendent George Stone is back in trouble with police in Yorktown for leaving more unwanted messages. On Oct. 2, officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, where there was a report of harassment, prompting an investigation.
