Dutchess Man Injured In Route 9 Crash Three local residents injured in a head-on crash on Route 9 had to be airlifted to Westchester Medical Center, officials said. The crash occurred around 5 p.m. Wednesday when a vehicle driving south veered into the oncoming lane and struck a northbound car, said state police. The Garrison Volunteer Fire Company said in a Facebook post that two medical helicopters landed at their firehouse and that several good Samaritans stopped to help as well as Captain Mike Gallo of East Fishkill FD.
