21-Year-Old Aspiring Pilot Shot To Death In Region; Duo Nabbed In Connection To Case Police have arrested two suspects accused of gunning down a young college student in New York who was an aspiring pilot. Usman Pirzada, age 21, was shot to death Tuesday, Dec. 19, in Schenectady’s Hamilton Hill neighborhood, according to police. Pirzada was found shortly before 9 p.m. near Lincoln Avenue and Steuben Street suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Albany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead hours later, Schenectady Police said. Detectives found several shell casings at the scene, which was located yards from the Martin Luther King Jr. School of Excellence. …

Teen Duo Who Stole SUV May Be Involved In Pair Of Shootings, Danbury Police Say Two Danbury teens have been arrested for allegedly stealing a Honda CRV that may have been involved with two shootings in the area and taking police on a high-speed pursuit. The incidents began in Danbury around 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23 when officers responded to Mill Ridge Road for two separate shots fired complaints, police said. In both incidents, homes were shot at by one or more occupants of a car driving through the area. As a result, several of the houses were damaged by bullets. Man Accused Of Firing Weapon From Vehicle In Dutchess, Police Say A man was apprehended just minutes after allegedly firing a weapon from his vehicle on a street in the area. The incident took place on Monday, Sept. 6, when the City of Poughkeepsie Police received a report of a shot fired from a vehicle in the area of Lent Street. According to Det. Lt. Matt Clark, responding officers locating a vehicle matching the description of one involved and stopped the vehicle. A handgun was recovered from the vehicle and Rashawn, age 24, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon, Clark said. A passenger, Jateek Owens, age 28, …
