Man Nabbed For Driving While High, Nearly Hitting Officer In Kent: Police A 44-year-old man faces charges after nearly striking an officer's vehicle on a Hudson Valley road while he was high on marijuana, police said. The incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, Oct. 13 around 5:30 p.m., when a Putnam County Sheriff's Office investigator had been driving eastbound on Route 311 in Kent near the Interstate 84 overpass.  According to the Sheriff's Office, at this time, a vehicle traveling westbound on the road passed another vehicle and nearly struck the investigator's car while doing so. Area Man Faces Felony DWI Charge After Crash A 37-year-old man faces a felony DWI charge following a crash in which he was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road without a court-ordered ignition interlock device in Northern Westchester, police said. Carlos Venegas of Brewster was arrested after Pound Ridge Police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday on Autumn Ridge Road in Pound Ridge, said Chief David Ryan.  Upon arrival, police observed a vehicle about 70 feet down an embankment in the area of the Clarke Preserve.
