A 22-year-old man faces numerous felony weapon charges after authorities discovered that he was manufacturing "ghost guns" at his Northern Westchester home, police said. Police Investigating Separate Shootings Hours Apart In Westchester
Police in Westchester are currently investigating two shooting incidents that occurred just hours apart. The incidents began in Mount Vernon around 5:40 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the area of 215 Union Ave. Mount Vernon Police responded to the area on a report of shots fired and a man down, said Tim Allen, spokesman for the Mount Vernon Police. Four people attending a vigil in Westchester were shot, leaving one in critical condition with a bullet wound to the head. The incident took place in Mount Vernon around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 333 South 8th Ave. According to city officials, the police department responded to the area of 333 South 8th Avenue on a report of multiple people shot. Hudson Valley Man Arrested For Murder
A man is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection to a fatal shooting in Westchester, police said. Mount Vernon resident Hayward Bradshaw III, age 33, was arrested on Sunday, March 6 outside a Bronx apartment building following the investigation into the shooting of 41-year-old city resident Kwasi Kirton. It is alleged that Bradshaw shot Kirton several times following an altercation on Friday, March 4 near the intersection of Third Street and Third Avenue in Mount Vernon, investigators said.
