Man Charged With Possession Of Child Porn, Weapons In Wappinger A 32-year-old man is behind bars after state police say he was in possession of child pornography as well as two weapons. An investigation by the Wappinger Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Troop K Computer Crimes Unit led to the obtainment of a search warrant granted by the Dutchess County Supreme Court.  The search warrant resulted in the seizure of child pornography in the possession of Wappinger resident Jared McLain, according to state police. Wappingers Voters Decide To Keep Police Department WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Wappingers Falls residents are apparently satisfied with their police department. Residents voted 486-294 to keep their police department Tuesday rather than entering into a shared services agreement with the county which could've saved taxpayers more than $700,000 a year. Last November, Dutchess County Supreme Court blocked an effort by the village to disband its police force and replace it with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, saying the village did not conduct an environmental review.
