Fatal Crash: Dutchess County Man Hit, Killed By Pickup Truck, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was hit and killed by a pickup truck while walking along a busy roadway. The crash took place in Dutchess County around 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 28 on New Hackensack Road (Route 376), east of Boardman Road in the town of Poughkeepsie.  According to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police, a 2018 Ford F-150, being driven by a 72-year-old Poughkeepsie man, struck a 57-year-old Poughkeepsie man. Double Homicide Suspect Found Dead In Dover The suspected killer of a man and a woman in New Milford, Conn., was found dead in his car of an apparent self-inflicted wound about 15 miles away in Dutchess County late Thursday morning. The two were found dead in a truck with a smashed driver’s side window at approximately 8:40 a.m. at the intersection of routes 7 and 55 in New Milford.
