Mahopac Man Possesses Xanax While Driving On Route 6, Police Say A 23-year-old Mahopac resident was arrested and charged with possessing Xanax after a traffic stop on Route 6 early Wednesday morning. Shane McDonald was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and driving with a suspended license. McDonald was pulled over after police saw he only had one tail light illuminated. Police discovered his driver's license had been suspended multiple times for failing to answer a summons and that he was in possession of Xanax, a controlled substance.
