Northbound lanes on the stretch in Norwalk reopened Saturday evening, May 4. Lanes opened on the southbound side reopened late Sunday morning, May 5, earlier than had been expected. 20 Cows Die In Tractor-Trailer Rollover Crash On I-84 Twenty cows died during a rollover crash of a tractor-trailer on I-84 in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Newtown around 3:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 19 near Exit 10, said the Connecticut State Police. Two Seriously Injured In Rollover I-84 Crash A single-vehicle, rollover crash on I-84 has resulted in serious injuries for two individuals involved, authorities say. The crash occurred late in the evening on Monday, Jan. 28 in Danbury.  Danbury Fire Dispatch received a number of calls reporting an overturned vehicle on I-84 eastbound prior to Exit 3, according to James Gagliardo of the Danbury FD. Lane Closures Scheduled As Monthslong Project Starts On I-95 Lane closures for pavement and roadway inspections on I-95 started on Sunday, July 1,  the Connecticut Department of Transportation said.The intermittent nightly closures, in both directions, will be in Greenwich and Stamford and continue until Nov. 15. The evaluation/inspection is part of the first phase of work for a future pavement rehabilitation, bridge repair and safety improvement project on I-95 between the New York State line and the I-95 bridge over Greenwich Avenue and Rippowam River in Stamford.
