A 24-year-old man faces charges after allegedly shattering the glass windows of a parks and recreation office with rocks in Northern Westchester, police said. The incident happened on Sunday, April 16 around 1:30 a.m., when police received a report of a suspect shattering glass windows at the Yorktown Parks and Recreation Office at 176 Granite Springs Rd., according to Yorktown PD. Officers soon responded to the office and met with the person who reported the incident. Jeep Jumps Curb, Crashes Into Restaurant In Hudson Valley
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after a Jeep jumped a curb and crashed into a restaurant in Northern Westchester. The incident happened around 3:10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 in Yorktown. The Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department said it was dispatched to the restaurant on Commerce Street for a report of a vehicle into the building. Units arrived to find a vehicle that jumped a curb, went down an embankment, and went through the wall of the occupied restaurant, according to the department. Trio Nabbed After Robbery Of Pharmacy In Hudson Valley
Three suspects who ransacked a pharmacy during a robbery in Northern Westchester are in custody after a manhunt, authorities announced. The incident happened on Thursday, June 30 at around 4:20 p.m. at the Yorktown Pharmacy on Commerce Street. When police identified the trio’s car and attempted to pull them over, the suspects fled on Underhill Avenue and eventually collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Underhill Avenue and Route 118, Yorktown Police said. Erratic DWI Driver Busted After Impeding Drivers In Area, Police Say
A Northern Westchester man was arrested for alleged drunk driving after police received several calls of an erratic driver. Marco Chacha, age 38, of Croton-on-Hudson, was arrested on Sunday, June 6, after Yorktown Police received a report of an erratic driver on Commerce Street heading westbound on Route 202. Chacha allegedly failed to maintain its lane multiple times and was being driven in a manner that was "impeding other vehicles," Yorktown Police said. Woman Charged In Burglary At CVS In Area
A woman has been charged after police say she burglarized a CVS Pharmacy in Westchester. While conducting routine checks of businesses on Commerce Street, Yorktown Police say they observed a woman standing between a Honda Civic and a storage container with its door open behind the CVS building (2000 Commerce Street) on Saturday, Nov. 2 around 1 a.m. The storage container, which was confirmed to belong to CVS, was filled with boxes similar to those inside the Civic, police say.
