52-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Train In Region A 52-year-old man from the Capital Region was struck and killed by a train. The Schoharie County incident happened around 2 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 11, in the area of Everett Street in Cobleskill. According to New York State Police Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, an investigation has determined Saratoga County resident Bruce B. Troopers in Schoharie County were called to a home on Route 7 in the town of Cobleskill on Sunday evening, July 23, for a report of trespassers. An investigation found that Melissa Johnson, age 44, and Jesus Lanauze, age 58, both of Albany, had been living in the home without permission for nearly a week, according to State Police. The incident began when 26-year-old Nathaniel Mahabier, of Cobleskill in Schoharie County, was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation on I-88 in Schoharie at around 2:50 p.m. Thursday, May 25. According to State Police, Mahabier initially gave a false name.
