One Killed In Dutchess Crash Between School Bus, Vehicle, Police Say One person was killed during a crash between a school bus and a passenger car in the area. The crash took place around 1:34 p.m. on Route 9D at Red Schoolhouse Road in the Town of Fishkill, said New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks. There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash. Police did not reveal if the person killed was on the bus or in the vehicle. Route 9D is closed between Red Schoolhouse Road and Baxtertown Road. This is a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Wappinger School Board Postpones Fishkill Elementary Vote FISHKILL, N.Y. -- The redistricting of Fishkill Elementary School will have to wait. The Wappingers School Board decided to postpone its vote on changing the boundaries of the elementary school that would see students who live on Baxtertown Road, Round Hill, and Osbourne Hill Road attending Myers Corners Elementary instead.
