19-Year-Old ATVer Drags Trooper 200 Yards While Fleeing In Region, Police Say A 19-year-old man is accused of injuring a New York State Police trooper in the region while attempting to flee on an ATV. The Rensselaer County incident happened at around 5 p.m. Friday, March 1, in Sand Lake on Johnny Cake Lane. State Police said the trooper stopped Joseph Dominy, of Averill Park, for illegally operating an ATV. Dominy was reportedly uncooperative and attempted to drive away. Suspect Throws Brick Through State Police Barracks In Hudson Valley Despite a full-out search including helicopters, a suspect who threw a brick through the window of a  state police barracks in the Hudson Valley managed to escape. The incident took place on Thursday, Feb. 24 Northern Westchester at the State Police Somers Barracks, located at 295 Route 100 during the evening hours. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, the suspect was on an ATV when they threw the brick and despite a large search by troopers and area police, they managed to escape detection.
