Woman Killed In Head-On Route 9W Crash A 41-year-old woman was killed during a head-on crash when a car veered into her lane of travel. The crash took place in on Route 9W around 6. p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24 in the town of Athens in Greene County. According to Capt. Tracey Quinn, of the Greene County Sheriff's Office, arriving officers found two vehicles that sustained heavy damage.  During an initial investigation, it was determined that a 2015 Nissan sedan driven by John G. Man Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Hudson Valley Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash in Northern Westchester. It happened at approximately 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, on Crompond Road and Lafayette Avenue in the town of Cortlandt. When police arrrived, Peekskill Emergency Medical Services was already on scene rendering aid to the pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle and transported to Hudson Valley Hospital, state police said.  The man later identified as Edwin G. Merchan Tenemea, age 34, of Peekskill, was pronounced dead at the hospital. An initial investigation determined a 2004 Honda Accord was …
