MILLERTON, N.Y. -- Millerton's Village Board will have a new member with Jennifer Najdek winning a seat along with current Trustee Christine Bates who was re-elected during Tuesday's elections.

The two defeated challenger Madeline Bambery with Najdek receiving 84 votes, Bates received 70 votes and Bambery received 52 votes, said Village Clerk Stephany Eisermann.

The Village will also have a new mayor with Deputy Mayor Debra Middlebrook becoming mayor after running unopposed, Eisermann said.

All positions carry a two-year term. The mayor receives an annual salary of $6,255 and trustees receive $3,001, Eisermann said.
