Suspect On Loose After Poughkeepsie Man Shot In Broad Daylight

City of Poughkeepsie police are asking the public for help in locating a person who shot a 19-year-old man and left the area.

The shooting took place around 2:25 p.m., Wednesday when the City of Poughkeepsie resident was shot once in the leg in the area of 6 Harrison St., said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Matt Clark.

The victim told police that an unknown man got out of a vehicle and shot at him. The vehicle was described as being a light blue Hyundai. Four shell casings were recovered at the scene, Clark said.

The victim was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.
