Boats search Hudson following George Washington Bridge jumper report

ONLY ON CLIFFVIEW PILOT: The U.S. Coast Guard and NYPD Harbor Patrol are searching the Hudson River after two witnesses told Port Authority police they saw a white man with a backpack hanging off the northside railing just after 3 o’clock.

Port Authority officers rushed to the spot and found the backpack, spokesman Al Della Fave told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The river’s current is running south, so the Coast Guard and Harbor Patrol “are doing what they normally do, scouring their way heading south of the bridge,” Delle Fave said.
