Beekman Residents Will Be Able To Prepay 2018 Town Taxes

Beekman residents worried about the recent tax law passed by Congress and how it will affect their taxes next year can prepay their 2018 town taxes in just a few simple steps, according to the Dutchess County government.

Because the new tax reform bill caps state and local property tax deductions at $10,000, Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-New Castle) issued an executive order last week allowing New York state property owners to pre-pay their 2018 school and local property taxes so they can deduct them from their federal income tax this year.

To prepay, follow the step below.

Go to http://www.dutchessny.gov/TaxRollsPDF/countytown/2017/RPbeekman18.pdf, to find the amount of taxes you owe.
Make a check out to the Beekman Receiver of Taxes
Mail to Town Hall, 4 Main St., Poughquag, NY 12570 4.

All prepay taxes must be postmarked by Dec. 30.
