Pawling's James Earl Jones Receiving Lifetime Achievement Tony Award

PAWLING, N.Y. -- James Earl Jones, a Pawling resident, is being honored for his life's work on the Great White Way.

The actor will receive a lifetime achievement award at the Tony Awards on June 11. Jones has appeared in 20 Broadway plays and won two Tonys for his performances in the "The Great White Hope" and "Fences."

Offstage, he is best known for voicing Darth Vader in the "Star Wars" movies.
