This therapy group will help participants having difficulty adjusting to the myriad of life transitions related to aging. There will be discussions on common aging experiences, managing difficult emotions, significant everyday challenges and grief after loss. Participants will learn effective coping skills for managing anxiety, reducing stress and finding peace with the aging process, according to the facilitator, licensed clinical social worker Allison Gould. Registration is required.
Adjustment to Aging will take place for eight weeks from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays between April 4 and May 23. This group meets in a private setting at the Center for Healthy Aging at 6529 Springbrook Ave. in Rhinebeck.
