A 54-year-old man was arrested at a Westchester Metro-North station after allegedly threatening to detonate a backpack he was wearing, police said. Officers from the New Rochelle Police Department were dispatched to the train station shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, where there were multiple reports of the suspicious man attempting to detonate a backpack he was wearing. Man Displaying Box Cutter Sentenced For Robbing Women At Train Station
A 47-year-old man may spend the rest of his life behind bars after admitting to robbing two women at a Westchester Metro-North station while brandishing a box cutter. Arthur Branch, of Yonkers, has been sentenced to a term of between 12 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to a felony count of second-degree armed robbery for an incident in 2016 at Mount Vernon Matro-North station.
