Westchester Woman Among 17 Charged During Fourth Of July DWI Crackdown In Region
A four-day impaired driving enforcement effort in a Hudson Valley county led to the arrests of 17 people.
The enforcement effort in Dutchess County centered around the Fourth of July holiday, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office said the following people were arrested:

Perla Canales Castrejon, age 21, of Red Hook - DWAI

Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of Hudson Valley Woman, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man has been charged with the stabbing death of an area woman.
The murder took place in Dutchess County in the town of Wappinger around 5:40 p.m., on Sunday, May 29.
Paul J. Senecal, age 38, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Tuesday, May 31 in connection with the stabbing death of Melanie Chianese, age 29, of the town of Wappinger, said Capt. John Watterson, of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.

Man Wanted For Killing Wife Found Near Bear Mountain Bridge Had Been Served Divorce Papers
Just a day before George Grogan called his son and said that he had killed his mother, Audrey Grogan, he had been served with divorce papers.
George Grogan, 59, called his son on Friday, Sept. 27, he was served divorce papers on Thursday, Sept. 26, court records show.
After the call, the son notified the Town of Poughkeepsie police who minutes later responded to Grogan’s residence located at 6 Shamrock Circle in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
They found no one home, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Michael O'Dowd.
