Mamaroneck Playhouse Will Reopen With Six Movie Screens The Sound Shore's historic movie theaters are being saved one-by-one.           The Mamaroneck Playhouse at 238 Mamaroneck Ave., which has been closed since 2015, is expected to reopen later this year. Blue Zees Real Estate, a New York City-based developer, bought the playhouse from Bow Tie Cinemas for $2 million this month, according to Westchester County property records.
