Man Found Shot In Upper Body In Mount Vernon: Suspect At Large Authorities are looking for whoever shot a man at a Westchester intersection, leaving him hospitalized.  The shooting happened in Mount Vernon on Wednesday, July 24 around 2 p.m., when shots were fired at the intersection of South 9th Avenue and Sandford Boulevard, according to Mount Vernon city officials. Man Found Shot In Head As Officers Investigate Crash In Westchester, Police Say A man is hospitalized after he was shot in the head outside his vehicle, possibly following a car crash in Westchester, police said. Officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department responded to a South 9th Avenue apartment building shortly before 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, where there was a report of a motor vehicle crash.
