The blaze happened on Saturday, Oct. 19 around 8:30 a.m. in Northern Westchester, when an SUV caught on fire on the southbound side in Hawthorne. Building Collapses At Yacht Yard In Westchester Authorities rushed to a yacht yard in Westchester after a building collapsed into the water, authorities said. The incident happened in Mamaroneck on Saturday, Aug. 17 around 3 p.m., when a shed building at Nichols Yacht Yard at 500 Rushmore Ave. collapsed, according to the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department.  According to police, the wood supporting the structure was rotted out.  Soon after the collapse, police, firefighters, building department officials, and Con Edison responded to the scene and cut electricity.  No injuries were reported.

ID Released For Man Killed On Snowmobile In Area A man killed during a snowmobile crash in the area has been identified by New York State Police. David White, 34, of Campbell Hall, was killed at 10:20 a.m., Monday, Dec. 2, after crashing a snowmobile into a tree on Quarry Road in Campbell Hall in Orange County, said Trooper Steven Nevel. When police arrived on the scene they found White near the sled, Nevel said. An investigation revealed that White lost control of the snowmobile and struck a tree and was ejected.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  Nevel said White was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
