Teen Found Under Water After Being Swept Away By Long Island Sound Current A teen swimming with three of his friends was rescued after being overcome by the incoming tide in the South Benson/Ash Creek area of Long Island Sound near the Bridgeport/Fairfield border. The incident occurred around late in the afternoon on Friday, May 24 off of Croton-on-Hudson. Two Rescued After Boat Overturns Off Westchester Coast Two boaters were rescued when their boat capsized in the Long Island Sound off New Rochelle. Members of the New Rochelle Police Department Marine Unit and paramedics were dispatched to the area of Huckleberry Island between Davids Island, shortly after noon on Wednesday where there was a report of a capsized vessel. Two boaters were rescued by police and transported back to shore without injuries. The condition of the boat was not immediately available.
