Village In Westchester Seeks Red-Light Cams For Busy Intersection A village in Westchester is attempting to become the first to get the green light to install red-light cameras at one of the county's busier intersections. Officials in Pelham Manor are seeking approval to install two red-light cameras at the intersection of Pelhamdale Avenue and Boston Post Road (Route 1) at both Pelhamdale approaches. Calderon, 75, of White Plains, was walking on Tarrytown Road in Greenburgh to meet his son at his job on Friday, Jan. 24, when he was hit by a driver and later died from his injuries. Police said that the driver was heading eastbound on Tarrytown Road after turning from Old Kensico Road when Calderon was struck. County Lawmakers Move One Step Closer To Approving Red Light Cameras For careless or impatient motorists, racing through yellow or red traffic lights may be reduced throughout Westchester.
