Man Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Westchester Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash in Northern Westchester. It happened at approximately 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, on Crompond Road and Lafayette Avenue in the town of Cortlandt. When police arrrived, Peekskill Emergency Medical Services was already on scene rendering aid to the pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle and transported to Hudson Valley Hospital, state police said.  The man later identified as Edwin G. Merchan Tenemea, age 34, of Peekskill, was pronounced dead at the hospital. An initial investigation determined a 2004 Honda Accord was …

Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Westchester Crash An investigation is underway after a man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Northern Westchester. It happened just before 3:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10 on Bear Mountain Bridge Road in the town of Cortlandt in the area of the scenic overlook. An initial investigation revealed a 2008 Honda motorcycle headed eastbound operated by Matthew J. Milicic Jr., age 66, of Newark Valley, New York in Tioga County, entered the westbound lane for unknown reasons and struck an oncoming 2020 Honda sedan, according to state police. ID Released For Northern Westchester Man Found Dead After Jumping From Bear Mountain Bridge A man found dead after jumping from the Bear Mountain Bridge has been identified by police. Jack J. Murphy, age 69, of Ossining, was found by the Westchester County Police Marine Unit after jumping from the bridge around 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 29, state police said. A search began for Murphy after witnesses called Westchester County 911 prompting a response from the State Police, Park Police, Westchester County Police Department, the Continental Fire Department, and Peekskill Emergency Medical Services, Trooper AJ Hicks said.
