Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges For Westchester Man, Woman A Route 22 stop in Putnam County resulted in separate drug-related charges for a man and woman from Northern Westchester. At approximately 7:10 p.m. Saturday, April 6, Putnam County Sheriff's Deputy Christopher Irwin observed a vehicle commit traffic violations on Route 22 in  Southeast, Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. said. After a traffic stop of the vehicle, a subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle’s driver, Michael Conti, 31, of Peekskill, was allegedly impaired by a drug, Langley said. Expect Delays: Monthslong Route 22 Lane Closures To Start In Eastchester There will be single lane closures for more than a month on Route 22 in Westchester as crews begin a gas main replacement project. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that lane closures have been scheduled on weekdays beginning on Monday, Aug. 27 and through October from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Montgomery Avenue in Eastchester and Scarsdale Boulevard, in the village. Alert Issued For Slow-Moving Convoys Traveling To Hudson Valley Slow-moving, oversized convoys are heading to the Hudson Valley. The New York State Department of Transportation announced on Monday that overnight transport of oversize loads from the Capital Region to the Hudson Valley is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 15. The transport of the oversized loads is scheduled to begin in the Port of Rensselaer in Rensselaer and will proceed along a designated route to Dover in Dutchess County.
