The driver of a BMW that crashed on Central Avenue last year and killed 19-year-old Nina Cordero in Yonkers and injured her boyfriend has been sentenced to a term of between three and nine years in state prison. Yonkers resident Renzo Yance, 22, who pleaded guilty to a felony count of manslaughter earlier this year, was sentenced on Tuesday, where he faced a maximum term of up to 15 years in state prison for his role in the Aug. 26 fatal crash last year. The driver of a BMW that crashed on Central Avenue last year and killed 19-year-old Nina Cordero in Yonkers and injured her boyfriend has seen his sentencing adjourned for a month. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, Jr. announced on Tuesday that Yonkers resident Renzo Yance, 22, who pleaded guilty to a felony count of manslaughter last month had his sentencing adjourned to July 10 for his role in the Aug. 26 fatal crash last year. The driver of a BMW that crashed in Yonkers last year, killing his teenage passenger, has pleaded not guilty to new charges related to the fatal crash. Renzo Yance, 21, appeared at the Westchester County Courthouse in White Plains on Tuesday after recently being indicted on charges that include felony counts of second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
