A Hudson Valley man is behind bars after he allegedly attacked a New York State trooper and fought with others following his arrest for DWI. The incident took place in Orange County around 11 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, at 11 p.m. at the Wallkill Rest Area off I-84 in Wallkill. State Trooper Injured In Hit-Run Westchester Crash
Police are investigating after a New York State trooper was injured in a hit-and-run crash overnight. It happened around 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8 near the border of Westchester and Fairfield counties in the village of Port Chester. State Police Vehicle Involved In Westchester Crash
A New York State Trooper received minor injuries after being rear-ended by another vehicle while in traffic in Westchester. The crash took place around 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, on I-287 westbound in White Plains when the trooper was sitting in traffic and was rear-ended by another vehicle, said Trooper Tara McCormick. The vehicle received minor damage. The trooper was treated for minor neck and back pain, McCormick said. No other injuries were reported.

One person was killed and several injured during a three-vehicle crash that caused the hours-long closure of a stretch of the Sprain Brook Parkway in Southern Westchester County. Home Burglary, Larcenies Under Investigation In Quiet Westchester Town
A Northern Westchester police chief is warning residents of a recent home burglary and numerous vehicle larcenies. The home burglary took place around 7 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 12, on Brundige Drive in the Goldens Bridge section of town, said Lewisboro Police Chief David Alfano. According to the chief, a Lewisboro officer responded to a burglary alarm notice and when he arrived at the residence, found a broken back sliding glass door and muddy footprints leading inside. A female New York State Trooper is facing charges of coercion after allegedly pretending to be a man while having an online relationship with a Nassau County woman and threatened to post naked photos of the woman. Jennifer Daignault, 31, of Rome in upstate New York, was arraigned on Tuesday, Aug. 20, before Judge Meryl Berkowitz and charged with coercion in the first degree and two counts of coercion in the second degree. Serious Crash Causes Bear Mountain Bridge Road Closure
Bear Mountain Bridge Road was closed during part of the morning commute due to a crash with reported injuries in Cortlandt. The crash, which took place around 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, closed the road between Annsville Circle and the Bear Mountain Bridge, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks. Hicks said the crash involved two vehicles and minor injuries. Tow trucks were on the scene, Hick said. "At least one of the vehicles crossed the double yellow on the curve in the road," he said. A 28-year-old motorcyclist died after hitting the back of a vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway. Raudys F. Motagarcia of the Bronx, crashed around 7:38 p.m., on Saturday, May 4, while traveling southbound on the Parkway near Exit 6 in the village of Briarcliff Manor when he hit the back of a car, said New York State Trooper AJ Hicks.
