Westchester Woman Nabbed For 'Cruelty To Persons' A 19-year-old Northern Westchester woman has been charged with "cruelty to persons" following an investigation in Fairfield County. Ana Maria Rivera, of Mount Kisco, turned herself in to police on Monday, Oct. 23 in New Canaan for an alleged crime that took place in August. Lt. Marc DeFelice, of the New Canaan Police, said the incident was domestic in nature and declined to provide additional details. The arrest log said a child under the age of 19 was involved. Anti-Semitic Lacrosse Game Chants At Area Playoff Game Called 'Hurtful' Fairfield Preparatory School has apologized to Staples High School for the actions of students in the stands who used anti-Semitic chants during a state playoff game last week. According to Staples school officials and parents who attended, members from the Fairfield Prep booster club chanted "Happy Hanukkah" and other hateful words whenever one of the Jewish Staples players scored during the game last Wednesday, May 30.
