Body Of Missing Man Recovered From Pond New update: The body of a man who went missing on Long Island has been recovered. The body of Dennis Jones, 40, of Freeport was pulled from the Milburn Pond on the Baldwin/Freeport border on Saturday, Dec. 28, Nassau County Police said. He was pronounced dead at 4:21 p.m., according to police. Jones had last been seen at his residence in Freeport on Ray Street on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. The investigation into Jones' death is ongoing. Second Westchester Man Charged With Stealing $10K Worth Of Designer Handbags In Greenwich Police have arrested a second Westchester man in connection with the theft of more than $10,000 worth of handbags from a Greenwich Avenue store. Gerald Smith, 48, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 20, for the Jan. 15 theft, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. On April 4, Greenwich Police arrested Joshua Spillman, 40, also of Mount Vernon, and charged him with organized retail theft greater than $10,000, conspiracy to commit larceny and larceny. Westchester Man Drove Drunk With 3-Year-Old In Car On Long Island, Police Say A Westchester man was arrested for DUI under Leandra's Law after he allegedly drove drunk with a 3-year-old child in the car on Long Island. Segundo Tenecela, 46, Port Chester, struck a vehicle stopped at a traffic light, on Saturday, June 8, in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police. The crash occurred when Tenecela was traveling eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike and struck the rear of a vehicle stopped at Meacham Avenue, police said.
