The body of Dennis Jones, 40, of Freeport was pulled from the Milburn Pond on the Baldwin/Freeport border on Saturday, Dec. 28, Nassau County Police said. He was pronounced dead at 4:21 p.m., according to police. Gerald Smith, 48, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 20, for the Jan. 15 theft, said Greenwich Police Lt. John Slusarz. Segundo Tenecela, 46, Port Chester, struck a vehicle stopped at a traffic light, on Saturday, June 8, in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police. The crash occurred when Tenecela was traveling eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike and struck the rear of a vehicle stopped at Meacham Avenue, police said.
