Henri: Flooding Causes New Road Closure In Westchester
Drenching downpours from Tropical Storm Henri have caused a new road closure in Westchester on Sunday evening, Aug. 22. The Hutchinson River Parkway is closed southbound from Hutch Boulevard to East Lincoln Avenue and northbound lanes closed from Boston Post Road to East Lincoln Avenue. The ramp from the eastbound Cross County Parkway to the Hutch is also closed. County Police say that a stretch of the Saw Mill River Parkway is closed in both directions late Sunday afternoon between Manville Road in Pleasantville and Route 119 in Elmsford. Star Alert: HBO Filming New Series In Westchester
Hollywood has come to the Hudson Valley once again with big stars in the area to film a new HBO series, the "Time Traveler's Wife." Village of Pleasantville officials said the production is filming on Wednesday, June 2 on Wheeler Avenue and Broadway during the day. Village officials said during the filming, Wheeler Avenue will be closed from Manville Road to the Bedford Road parking lot exit until around noon. Box Truck Strikes Bridge On Saw Mill River Parkway
This story has been updated. Westchester County Police rushed to the scene Sunday afternoon after a box truck struck a bridge on the Saw Mill River Parkway. The incident, on the northbound side, occurred around 2 p.m. at Manville Road in Pleasantville. Slow-moving traffic was reported at the scene.
