A unique, six-story-tall attraction made of rubber will soon be coming to the shores of Westchester.
"The World's Largest Rubber Duck" will arrive in Rye Playland on Friday, Aug. 16, and stay through Sunday, Aug. 18, serving as the centerpiece of the park's "Second Annual Duck Days of Summer" celebration.
The 61-foot-tall duck, which aims to bring "love and joy to the globe," according to its website, will be accompanied by her 10-foot-high "baby ducking," Timmy.

A residence in Westchester County sold for more than $5 million after only four days on the market, along with two classic sports cars.
The home, located on a 2.6-acre property in Rye at 281 Kirby Ln., sold for $5,772,258, which was $1.37 million more than the original listing price of $4,399,500, according to Coldwell Banker Realty officials.

18-Year-Old Killed In Long Island Sound Jet Ski Accident
A 2021 high school graduate from Fairfield County is being remembered by friends and family after he was killed when two jet skis collided in the Long Island Sound.
Matthew (Matt) Horvath, age 18, of Shelton, died on Tuesday, July 27, in Milford, said Will Healy, spokesman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Healy said Horvath was killed in a boating accident in which jet skis collided in the Sound.
He was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Healy said.
