New Rochelle Schools To Open Late To Test New Districtwide Procedures Students in New Rochelle will enjoy some unique “half-days” of school as district faculty and staff members conduct a dry run of certain procedures that were put in place for select situations. Schools will open late for students on Monday, Oct. 1, “as a test run of procedures that may be employed during inclement weather and other situations.” Dismissals will be at the standard times and lunch will be served in all schools.
