They're Everywhere: Coyote 'Taken Into Custody' By Nypd Following numerous reported sightings in and around the suburbs of New York City, NYPD officers were called to duty and able to corral a so-called “vicious animal” that was on the loose. Members of the New York Police Department received a report early on Sunday morning, Dec. 23 of the “vicious animal,” prompting the response. In the past week, coyote sightings were reported in the Paine Heights neighborhood in New Rochelle. The latest sighting comes on the heels of others on Palmer Avenue near Stop & Shop, Harding Drive, Wilson Drive, Spencer Place and Evergreen Avenue. Brand-New Coyote Sighting In Westchester: Find Out When, Where A large coyote was spotted making the rounds in Northern Westchester.  The latest coyote sighting in Westchester came from a South Salem resident, who saw the "good-sized" animal making the rounds on the Lewisboro Elementary School property on Bouton Road in South Salem at approximately 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5. The Mount Pleasant Police Department is reporting several new wild coyote sightings in the area, prompting it to issue an alert to the community.
