Police: Wanted Man Busted After Rear-Ending Driver While Drunk In Scarsdale
A man with a warrant out for his arrest for a DWI was taken into police custody in Westchester after allegedly driving drunk and crashing into another driver, police said. Officers from the Scarsdale Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Post Road and Olmsted Road at approximately 1:50 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, where there was a report of a crash. Police said that New Rochelle resident Gerald Collins, Jr., 39, was driving a Toyota Camry south on Post Road when he rear-ended a Jeep Wrangler that was stopped at a red light.
