Lakeland Central School District Names New Superintendent A veteran educator has been tapped to take over at the helm of the Lakeland Central School District. The Lakeland School Board of Education announced this week that Arlington Central School District Superintendent Brendan Lyons has been named to the same position in the district, effective as of Wednesday, July 1. Lyons takes over for the retiring Superintendent George Stone, who has been in the role for a decade. Voicemails To School Superintendent Lead To Harassment Charge A Northern Westchester man who admitted to leaving more than two dozen harassing voicemails to Lakeland Schools Superintendent George Stone is back in trouble with police in Yorktown for leaving more unwanted messages.
