A Westchester resident faces weapons charges after they were caught with two illegally possessed loaded pistols, police said. The arrest was the result of a firearms investigation in Tuckahoe that culminated in the seizure of a loaded Ejercito Argentino .45 pistol and a loaded DRACO 7.62x39mm pistol, Westchester County Police announced on Wednesday, Oct. 25. As the result of the seizure, a Tuckahoe resident, whose name was not released, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a firearm. Authorities are investigating a shooting in Westchester that hospitalized a man who later refused to cooperate with detectives, police said. The incident happened on Monday, Oct. 16 around 11 p.m., when police responded to the area of South 7th Avenue and West 5th Street in Mount Vernon for a report of shots fired, Mount Vernon Director of Communications Timothy Allen said. Police in Westchester are currently investigating two shooting incidents that occurred just hours apart. The incidents began in Mount Vernon around 5:40 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 27 in the area of 215 Union Ave. Mount Vernon Police responded to the area on a report of shots fired and a man down, said Tim Allen, spokesman for the Mount Vernon Police. Mount Vernon resident Hayward Bradshaw III, age 33, was arrested on Sunday, March 6 outside a Bronx apartment building following the investigation into the shooting of 41-year-old city resident Kwasi Kirton.
