Hudson Valley Top Cop Named President Of State Police Chief's Association
A popular Hudson Valley police chief has been named President of the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police. Joseph A. Sinagra of the Saugerties PD in Ulster County was sworn in during the annual conference in Albany. He succeeds Chief Kevin Sylvester of the Ossining PD. Sinagra previously served on both the Board of Governors and the executive board of the NYSACOP. New Police Chief Takes Command In Rockland County
There's a new police chief in Rockland County, a man who has served as a police officer in the Hudson Valley for more than 34 years. Interim Chief Jeffrey Wanamaker was selected to serve as the next chief of the town of Clarkstown following a vote by Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann and the Town Board on Thursday, Aug. 5. New Police Commissioner Named In Yonkers
Yonkers Police Deputy Chief John Mueller will be named the city’s new police commissioner, pending the City Council’s confirmation. Mueller will begin serving as acting commissioner on Thursday, July 25, and will replace outgoing commissioner Charles Gardner, who is retiring later this month, Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano announced.
