Car Engulfed By Flames On Saw Mill Parkway In Westchester, Impacts Traffic
A car fire on a busy parkway in Westchester sent plumes of smoke into the air and impacted traffic. The blaze broke out on Sunday, Dec. 1 just after 6:30 a.m., when a vehicle caught on fire on the northbound Saw Mill River Parkway in Irvington, according to the village's fire department. The flames completely consumed the car as firefighters raced to put it out. The Elmsford Fire Department helped with the effort and the Westchester County Police Department helped direct traffic at the scene. The cause of the blaze was not released.

Blaze Breaks Out At Burger King Location In Westchester
Crews had to race to save a Home of the Whopper in Westchester after a fire broke out inside the fast food restaurant. The incident happened on Saturday evening, Oct. 7 at a Burger King in Elmsford located at 265 East Main St. (Route 119), where crews were called to respond to a working fire, according to the Elmsford Fire Department. According to the Valhalla Fire Department, the blaze was found to have started in the building's ductwork and was quickly extinguished. Firefighters worked hard to extinguish a fire that broke out in a Westchester greenhouse. Members of the Hartsdale Fire Department responded to the Hartsdale Greenhouses at approximately 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, where there were multiple reports of a smoke plume in the area. According to fire officials, first responders located a well-involved storage building fire with an electrical pole arcing overhead. Lightning Strike Cited In Fire At Business Complex In Westchester
An electrical fire at a business complex in Westchester is believed to have been started by a lightning strike. The fire began amid a round of severe storms around 7:15 p.m., Monday, July 22, at 777 Old Saw Mill River Road, in Hawthorne, where Regeneron Pharmaceuticals is located, said the Hawthorne Fire Department. Firefighters Work Quickly To Knock Down Mother's Day Fire In Westchester
All hands were on deck on Mother’s Day when a blaze broke out at an area home, prompting a heavy response by local fire departments. Crews from the Tarrytown Fire Department were dispatched to a reported structure fire at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 12.
