Former Teacher, Westchester Native Dies At 69: Made Life 'Easygoing, Silly' For Friends, Family
A beloved Westchester County native who taught chemistry at a high school in Connecticut and made learning fun for his students is being remembered for his light-hearted nature. Richard Linden, who grew up in the city of Rye and who taught in Tolland County at RHAM High School in Hebron, died on Sunday, April 16 at the age of 69, according to his obituary. Westchester Native Struck, Killed Walking On Garden State Parkway, Police Say
An engineer from Westchester who worked on innovations in supercomputer chips was inexplicably walking in the fast lane of the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey before dawn Sunday when he was struck and killed near the New York State border, authorities said. Samuel E. Gottheim, 30, an Arsdley native living in California, had attended a nearby family wedding Saturday night, family members said.
