Crews Battle Brush Fire At Golf Course In Westchester
Firefighters battled persistent flames at a golf course in Westchester for more than an hour. The blaze happened at the Saint Andrew's Golf Course in Hastings-on-Hudson on Tuesday evening, Nov. 5, according to the Dobbs Ferry Fire Department, which helped assist with the response. Blaze Breaks Out At Nursing Home In Westchester
Firefighters raced to a nursing home in Westchester after a fire began in its attic. The blaze broke out just before 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20 at the Atria Woodlands assisted living facility at 1017 Saw Mill River Rd. (Route 9A) in Ardsley, according to the Ardsley Fire Department. After arriving at the facility, firefighters soon learned that the blaze had sparked in the attic near a washer machine. Firefighters raced to a baseball field in Westchester after an intense blaze ignited at a park building. The blaze began on Saturday, March 30 around 8:15 p.m., when the park house by the Gould Park baseball field in Dobbs Ferry went up in flames, according to the village's fire department. Arriving crews soon found smoke pouring from the lower extension of the building and began fighting to put it out. Chimney Fire Leaves Residence Blackened In Westchester
A fire that originated in a chimney left a Westchester residence with significant damage, including gaping holes in its walls. The incident happened on Thursday, Nov. 2 around 6:40 p.m. in Dobbs Ferry on Hunters Run. According to the Dobbs Ferry Fire Department, arriving crews responding to a reported chimney fire were able to quickly extinguish the blaze before checking for any extension of the fire. Four families were displaced from a Westchester condominium complex when a two-alarm fire broke out overnight, leaving the building with extensive damage. Fire crews responded to The View on Nob Hill in Elmsford at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18 when the electrical fire sparked and burned for several hours, authorities said. SUV Driver Critically Injured In Crash With Truck In Westchester
An SUV driver remains in critical condition after the driver reportedly rear-ended a tractor-trailer on I-87 in Greenburgh. The crash took place around 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 26, near Exit 7A in Greenburgh, state police said. During the crash, the front windshield and roof of the SUV were ripped open, and the driver had to be extricated. by members of the Ardsley Fire Department with help from the Tarrytown Fire Department. Firefighters Work Quickly To Knock Down Mother's Day Fire In Westchester
All hands were on deck on Mother’s Day when a blaze broke out at an area home, prompting a heavy response by local fire departments. Crews from the Tarrytown Fire Department were dispatched to a reported structure fire at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 12.
