Williams Scores Career-High 43 in Tuckahoe Win

YONKERS, N.Y. – Sky Williams scored the 100th point of his high school career last week and the goal may have inspired the senior guard, who scored a career-high 43 points Tuesday in an 88-64 victory over Riverside High School.

Tuckahoe, the defending Section 1 Class D champion, ran its unbeaten record to 9-0.

Riverside kept the game close in the first half in which Tuckahoe led 39-33 at intermission. Williams scored 27 of his points in the second half sparking a 49-31 run that extended the lead and helped the Tigers run away with the win.

Junior center Kayvon Reid scored a career highs 11 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, Mark Raymond added seven points and Justin Nolan scored six for the Tigers. Williams added nine rebounds, six steals and four assists.

Shyheim Nixon had seven assists, five rebounds and three steals for the winners.

Eddie Jackson led Riverside with 18 points and teammate Ian Parker added 16.
